Emma Talley shot a 1-under-par 70 and is right on the cutline after 18 holes at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G in Rogers, Ark.
Talley’s first round included birdies on Nos. 3 and 8 and just one bogey — on the par-4 4th hole.
Talley hit 11 of 13 fairways and reached 15 of 18 greens in regulation. She had 31 putts in Friday’s first round.
Talley, who is tied for 65th, tees off in the second round at 12:48 p.m. Saturday. The field will be cut to the Top 70 and ties for Sunday’s final round.
Talley is looking to make the cut for the fourth straight week.
A trio of players sit tied atop the leaderboard at 7-under par. Major champion Anna Nordqvist, 2020 Tour rookie Esther Lee and new LPGA mom Jackie Stoelting each turned in matching rounds of 7-under-par 64 to take a one-stroke lead over a pack of six players including Rolex Rankings No. 6 Sei Young Kim.
