After spending his first two years of collegiate basketball at Jacksonville State, former Christian County standout De’Torrion Ware has announced where he plans to play his junior season.
In a social media post Thursday, Ware announced that he would be headed to Morgan State University, in Baltimore.
In his freshman season at Jacksonville, Ware averaged 5.4 points and 1.4 rebounds per contest. Those numbers increased to 12.0 points and 5.3 rebounds per game in the 2019-2020 season. His career scoring high at Jacksonville was 26 points this past season against Tennessee Tech.
Ware announced back in May that he was placing his name in the NCAA’s transfer portal.
Morgan State is a member of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference.
Ware graduated from Christian County High School with 2,314 career points, tops in Colonel program history. He averaged 32 points and nine rebounds in being named All-District, All-Region, KABC Region Player of the Year, Second Team All-State, and was named to the All-Bluegrasspreps.com Team.
