Caldwell County seniors Olivia Mitchell and Abby Griggs have been named to the Kentucky Volleyball Coaches Association Preseason Watch List.
A media release sent Monday said the 178 players named to the list statewide are expected to be considered for All-State honors at the end of the volleyball season.
Mitchell earned All-State honors in 2019 after recording 625 kills, 254 digs, and 23 blocks. Griggs had 271 kills, 44 blocks, and 20 aces.
They were two of six players from the Second Region named to the watch list. Also named were Evelyn Morales and Beth Peebles from University Heights Academy, Macy Baker from Christian County, and Jordan Troutman from Henderson County.
