Calloway County’s Ainsley Smith enters the 2020 cross country season as one of the top returning seniors in the state.
Smith is ranked 77th among all returning seniors in the state regardless of class according to a list released by milesplit.com.
She recorded three top-five finishes during the regular season, including a win at the Fulton County Invitational. Smith finished second at the region meet and 85th at the Class 2A State Meet in a time 12 seconds faster than her region time.
Smith’s fastest time of 2019 was a 21:44 at the Greater Louisville Classic.
