With the high school volleyball season set to get underway next week, coaches across the area believe the Christian County Lady Colonels are one of the teams who can contend for a regional title. In a preseason poll released Thursday, the Lady Colonels are among the teams listed in the Top 5 teams of the 2nd Region.
The coaches voted the Lady Colonels into a 3rd place tie with crosstown rival Hopkinsville. Caldwell County was given the #1 slot in the preseason rankings, with defending regional champion Henderson County ranked 2nd. Crittenden County and University Heights tied for 5th.
Christian County, which finished the 2019 season at 10-22, will open the 2020 season Thursday on the road at Webster County.
