As the start of the high school volleyball season approaches, volleyball coaches across the region think the Hopkinsville Lady Tigers are among the teams that have a shot at the 2nd Region title during the 2020 season. In the coaches’ preseason volleyball poll released Thursday, the Lady Tigers are among the teams listed in the Top 5 teams of the 2nd Region.
The coaches voted the Lady Tigers into a 3rd place tie with crosstown rival Christian County. The Caldwell County Lady Tigers were given the #1 slot in the preseason rankings, with defending regional champion Henderson County ranked 2nd. Crittenden County and University Heights tied for 5th.
Hopkinsville, which finished the 2019 season at 12-17, will open the 2020 season Tuesday on the road at University Heights.
