A top-five finish by James Folz propelled Hopkinsville to an eighth-place finish Saturday at the Marshall County Invitational played at the Calvert City Golf and Country Club.
Folz shot a 1-over 73 to finish tied for fourth place, three shots behind winners Camdyn McLeod of Marshall County and Peyton Purvis of St. Mary.
Evan Pyle added an 84 for the Tigers. Will Binkley shot an 86 followed by Andrew Riggs’ 90 and Calvin Demps’ 92.
Hopkinsville’s team score of 333 was good for eighth place, 24 shots behind the winner St. Mary.
