The Marshall County Lady Marshal Invitational featured some of the top golfers and teams in the western end of the state, and the host Lady Marshals put on a show on their home course at the Calvert City Golf and Country Club.
Marshall County’s team score dipped under 300 for the first time this season. Seventh-grader Trinity Beth shot a 2-under 70 to finish in second place, one shot behind Ashland Blazer’s Kate Hanni.
Savannah Howell also went under par for the Lady Marshals at 1-under to finish tied for third with South Warren’s Faith Martin.
Megan Hertter tied for fifth place with a 4-over 76. Katie Roberts shot an 82, and Elsie Riley added an 86 for the Lady Marshals.
Marshall County’s team score of 299 was 19 shots better than second-place South Warren. Glasgow finished third with 324 points, and Madisonville was fourth with 328. Abbie Lee and Nina McMurtrey led Glasgow with a round of 79.
