Madisonville opened the 2020 girls’ soccer season by scoring two second-half goals to grind out a 2-2 tie with Ohio County Monday.
Last year, Madisonville edged Ohio 1-0 on their way to a 19-2-1 record.
Down 2-0 at halftime, Camryn LaGrange fed Emma Peyton for Madisonville’s first goal of the season early in the second half.
Just three minutes later, Kylee Coyle took a long cross from Lillie Carmen and headed in the tying goal.
Both teams had shots to break the tie down the stretch but were unsuccessful.
Madisonville will play Graves County and McCracken County Saturday in the Donley Classic.
