Trigg County High School will put a cap on attendance at 50-percent for fall sports with plans in place for advanced ticket sales to be handled online.
The plan released Monday by Athletic Director Matt Wilder said the attendance threshold will be “much less than 50-percent” at the start of the season with ticket sales to limit the number of fans in attendance.
Masks will be required to be worn at all times inside the stadium or gym. The only exception will be when eating. Wilder said failure to comply will result in removal from the venue and could result in limitations of future attendance.

Tickets to Trigg County football games will be $5 in advance, with sales at the high school office between 9-3 Wednesday through Friday. Online tickets will be sold for $6.50 with that process to be announced at a later time by the school.
Wilder said tickets will be sold at three different levels. Reserved ticket holders (those who have historically purchased tickets in this form) will have the first opportunity to purchase their tickets at all venues. Seating will be by order of purchase and/or historical preference and the purchase should be made prior to the first contest of the season.
Next, parents and guardians of athletes, cheerleaders, and band members will have the next opportunity to purchase tickets. Once the number of seats is determined for each family, seating arrangements may be determined by TCHS staff. Parents will need to commit to designated numbers of tickets for each home game. Payment for tickets at this level can be made in advance at a (20% discount for the season) or at face value on a weekly basis. Tickets will be available in the front office.
Seating in stands will be limited to the tickets available after the sale of these two levels. Wilder said seating in family groups (or travel parties) will allow for grouped seating. Social distancing (6 feet apart) and mask-wearing will be required.
If there are any tickets available after these levels, up to 100 tickets will be made available for students at each home football game. No middle school or elementary school students will be allowed entry unless they are accompanied by a parent or guardian. There will also be no pickup games allowed at football games.
The remaining tickets will be offered to community members and visiting teams (at a rate of 2 per athlete on KHSAA roster).
Temperature checks will be conducted at the gate. If a fan’s temperature is 100.4 or higher, that fan will not be allowed entrance. Fans will have to meet the Health Guidelines set by the KHSAA and the local Health Department.
No coaches or officials passes will be accepted.
“We want our kids to play. In order for this to occur, we all must work together for the benefit of our student-athletes and our teams,” Wilder said. “Let’s act as one community, supporting our athletes, coaches, and programs. Failure to do so and meet the guidelines may put future contests and/or fan attendance at risk.”
