The Caldwell County Lady Tigers exploded for four goals in the final 21 minutes to remain unbeaten all-time against Trigg County.
Kaylee McEnaney had two goals while Kendall Boyd had a goal and an assist as Caldwell’s girls overcame a 1-0 halftime deficit to defeat the Lady Wildcats 4-1 at Butler Stadium in Princeton.
Trigg’s Adrianna Jimenez gave the Lady Wildcats a 1-0 lead in the 16th minute.
That advantage held up for over 40 minutes.
But McEnaney tied the game with a penalty kick in the 59th minute after Hadlee Hall was fouled in the box.
That goal opened the flood gates for the Lady Tiger, who took the lead just 3 minutes later.
Boyd scored the go-ahead goal for the Lady Tigers in the 62nd minute. Laken White picked up the assist on the play, which came right after McEnaney sent a pass across the front of the net which was almost redirected in.
McEnaney netted her second goal in the 76th minute with Boyd getting the assist to give Caldwell some breathing room at 3-1.
Reagan Hodge finished the scoring for the Lady Tigers in the 78th minute when she scored off a corner kick from Morgan McDaniels.
Caldwell outshot Trigg 37-10 in the contest but had trouble finding the net until midway through the second half.
Caldwell is now 23-0-1 all-time against the Lady Wildcats.
The Lady Tigers will play again Thursday night at Hopkinsville.
Trigg will play at home for the first time on Thursday when it entertains Crittenden County.
