Trigg County fell behind early but battled back before dropping a four-set match to Livingston Central Thursday at Wildcat Gym.
Livingston took the first set 25-18 and jumped ahead in the second before Trigg mounted a comeback. The Lady Cardinals held off Trigg to claim the set 28-26.
Trigg took the third set 25-18 and started strong in the fourth set before Livingston used a 7-3 run to grab a 21-16 lead. Trigg fought back before dropping the set 25-23.
Trigg County, who averaged 13 points a set last year, has increased that to 19 points a set in 2020 despite an 0-2 record.
The Lady Wildcats [0-2] will host Crittenden County Monday at Wildcat Gym.
