In a close back-and-forth battle, Webster County edged Christian County in four sets in a volleyball match decided by a total of 11 points. The Lady Colonels took the first set 28-26 before the Lady Trojans rallied to win the final three 25-23, 25-21, and 25-22.
Macy Baker had 14 kills and a pair of aces for the Lady Colonels. Hailey Sparks and Chantelle Haby each had 13 assists. Sparks added four kills, and Haby had three aces.
Paris Buckner contributed six kills for the Lady Colonels, and Aniya McCarley had four.
Christian County [0-1] will play McCracken County Saturday at Caldwell County.
