Trigg County hosted the Mike Wright Cross Country Classic on Saturday at West Cadiz Park on Saturday, with the Trigg boys finishing runners-up to 1st-place Marshall County.
Austin Cavanaugh led the Wildcat effort with a 3rd-place finish, covering the mile-and-a-half course in a time of 8:02.96. Marshall Jenkins was next with a 14th-place showing, posting a time of 8:52.54, with River Oliver in 15th with an 8:54.62, and Timmy Cannon 16th with an 8:56.73.
Riley Thompson posted a 9:20.26, Ryan Simpson ran a 10:03.73, and Joseph Crawford crossed the finish line in 10:17.47.
