The Hopkinsville boys cross country team traveled “north of the border” Saturday, and returned home with a top five finish at the Mater Dei Invite. The Tigers finished with 117 points in the event.
Daviess County took 1st place in the event with 28 points. Castle High School was 2nd, while host Mater Dei took 3rd place.
Hopkinsville’s best runner was Chase Atkins, who came within a whisper of taking 1st place. Atkins finished with a time of 15:53.76, just .6 seconds behind Brady Terry, of Daviess County.
Other top finishes for Hopkinsville were:

27th – Quinn Miller 18:58.91
