Caldwell County High School has called off all of its athletic events for both Thursday and Friday.
Rising COVID-19 numbers are the primary concern for the school.
Caldwell had a busy slate scheduled for Thursday night, with home boys’ soccer against Madisonville-North Hopkins, girls’ soccer at Madisonville-North Hopkins and volleyball at Henderson County.
Already canceled was a football game at Union County on Friday.
Caldwell school officials plan to use the next two days to develop a plan moving forward for athletics.
As of Thursday morning, activities for Saturday are still on. Caldwell volleyball is scheduled to play in the 2nd Region All A Classic at Livingston Central and girls’ soccer plays at Lyon County.
