Caldwell County and Hopkinsville will play football this week after all.
And they will play each other.
After having other dates this week’s called off, Caldwell and Hopkinsville will play each other Saturday night at 7:00 at the Stadium of Champions in Hopkinsville.
Caldwell was originally scheduled to play at Union County on Friday while Hoptown had a date with crosstown rival Christian County. But those games were called off over COVID-19 concerns.
Caldwell and Hopkinsville were originally scheduled to play this season in Week 3. However, once the season was pushed back, the two teams were unable to find a spot on the schedule for each other. Until Thursday afternoon, that is.
