We are a week and a half into the 2020 volleyball season, and one thing that rarely changes is that the Caldwell County Lady Tigers are near the top of the YSE 2nd Region Volleyball Super 7. In the first one of the season, the Lady Tigers from Princeton hold the top slot.
– Caldwell County (2-1) – The only loss early for the Lady Tigers was to a very good McCracken County team. At this point, looking like the team to beat in the region.
– Madisonville (4-1) – Lady Maroons won their first four, including wins over UHA and Henderson County. Got swept by Caldwell County in a big 7th District battle.
– Henderson County (1-3) – A tough early schedule for the Lady Colonels. But, Henderson County is still the defending champs, and would be hard to count them out come tourney time.
– Webster County (2-1) – Could be a dark horse team in the region. Only early loss came to a solid Marshall County team. Interesting matchup with UHA ahead.
– Christian County (1-2) – A big win for the Lady Colonels against UHA on the Lady Blazers home floor. This team should only get better over the course of the season.
– UHA (1-2) – Two tough five set losses early in the season is no reason to hit the panic button. Once this team finds its footing, they will be quite a challenge later on in the season.
– Hopkinsville (1-3) – After dropping their first three, the Lady Tigers rebounded with a hard fought five set win on the road at Crittenden County. Another team that should get better as things go on.
