Activities for two programs at Hopkinsville High School have shut down after positive COVID-19 tests have been returned. Officials with the Christian County Schools announced Thursday afternoon that COVID-19 test results for both the Hopkinsville High School Lady Tigers soccer team and the Tiger cheerleading squad has led the Christian County Health Department to recommend members be quarantined at their homes.

Officials add that all players/cheerleaders have been alerted by Hopkinsville High School administration and are not attending school in-person during the quarantine. Both the Lady Tiger soccer season and the HHS cheerleading squad activities are suspended until further notice.

According to Christian County Public Schools Superintendent Chris Bentzel, once these students have cleared quarantine, they will return to regular season play.
