Lady Warriors Win Two of Three Weekend KCAA Matches

Heritage Christian Academy took two out of three KCAA volleyball matches over the weekend on the road.

The Lady Warriors, ranked third in this week’s KCAA Power Poll, beat No. 5 North Hardin in three sets 23-25, 25-20, 25-19.

Elle Heltsley had six kills, and Elizabeth Pitts added two.  Lexie Crisp had three aces, and Bailey Craft and Mya Goodwin each contributed two assists.

HCA lost the JV match 21-18, 21-18.

On Saturday, HCA beat No. 6 Micah Christian 25-14, 25-14.

Heltsley had six kills, and Crisp added four.  Craft had eight assists, with Goodwin serving four aces, and Tori Sutton adding a pair of aces.

HCA won the JV match 21-8, 21-13.

The Lady Warriors suffered their first KCAA loss of the season Saturday afternoon to No. 4 Holy Angels 25-22, 22-25, 25-23.

Goodwin had six assists and three aces for HCA.  Crisp had five kills, and Heltsley added three.

“I am proud of how the girls kept fighting,” Coach Grace Waldron said. “We need to work on our coverage and service errors, but we should be in pretty good shape.”

Heritage Christian [6-1, 3-1] will host Bowling Green Christian Tuesday at Warrior Gym.
