Caldwell County eighth grader Collin Whittington tied for 18th out of 87 golfers on Saturday in the Kentucky PGA Middle School Championship.
Whittington, a member of the Caldwell County High School team, carded a 12-over-par 84 at the Winchester Country Club.
Whittington shot a 5-over 42 on the front and a 7-over 42 on the back nine.
Landen “Putter” Howard of Richmond won the event by six shots with a 3-under-par 69.
