Despite playing with its top golfer, Madisonville’s scores were within 10 shots top to bottom as the Maroons finished seventh at the Muhlenberg County Golf Invitational at the Central City Country Club.
Jackson Hill was playing in the Kentucky Golf Coaches All-State Tournament in Lexington.
Ben Dickerson picked up the slack and shot an 84 to lead the Maroons. Aaron Munger followed with an 86, and Andrew Davis shot an 87. Paul Harris [92] and J.T. Witherspoon [96] rounded out the scoring.
The Maroons totaled 349 points, which was 42 behind the winner Muhlenberg County, who also had the day’s medalist. James Soderling shot a 75 to take first place.
