Marshall County finished in eighth place at the Kentucky Golf Coaches Association All-State Tournament held over the weekend at the University Club of Kentucky in Lexington.
The invitation-only event features the top 15 teams in All-State points and the top 96 golfers in the state.
Defending state champion Jay Nimmo finished tied for second place at 1-under par over the two-day event. The Marshal senior, who has committed to Mississippi State, shot a 71 on both the University Club of Kentucky Big Blue Course and Wildcat course. He had four birdies Saturday and four more Sunday, but a double-bogey on No. 18 may have kept him from the top of the leaderboard.
Camdyn McLeod shot 14-over for the two days to finish tied for 50th place. Trey Wall finished tied for 54th place at 15-over par. David Jack Morris shot 23-over to finish in a tie for 73rd place, and Preston Futrell shot 31-over to place 86th.
