Evan Pyle’s fifth-place finish paced Hopkinsville to fifth place Saturday at the Muhlenberg County Golf Invitational at the Central City Country Club.
Pyle carded a round of 77, which was two shots off the lead established by Muhlenberg County’s James Soderling.
Joey Falco and Will Binkley each shot an 88, with Andrew Riggs shooting a 90. Calvin Demps rounded out the Tiger effort with a 91.
Hopkinsville was playing without its top golfer James Folz, who was playing in the Kentucky Golf Coaches All-State Tournament in Lexington.
Hopkinsville’s team score was 343. Muhlenberg County took the title on its home course with 307 points.
