Caldwell County and Hopkinsville were scheduled to play.
Then they weren’t.
Then they played anyway.
The original meeting scheduled for Week 3 was lost when the start of high school football season was pushed back to Sept. 11.
But after seeing games for Friday canceled (Caldwell at Union County and Hopkinsville against Christian County) the two schools hastily rescheduled a game Saturday night at the Stadium of Champions.
Hoptown scored the first 20 points of the game in the first 3:10 of the contest and went on to beat Caldwell 54-27.
Your Sports Edge spoke with Hopkinsville head coach Craig Clayton, who played at Caldwell County for his father Fred Clayton, after the game.
