Trigg County finished in fourth place Saturday at the Muhlenberg County Golf Invitational at the Central City Country Club.
Trey Carr continued his strong play with a round of 79, which was good for a seventh-place tie. Ty Butts finished in 19th place with an 84. Greyson Grissom shot an 88, and Haydon Reynolds followed with an 89. Dallas Ahart shot a 99.
Trigg had two golfers play as individuals and not count toward the team score. Jay Humphries shot an 84, and Ivey Redd had an 86.
Muhlenberg County’s James Soderling took medalist honors with a 3-over 75.
Trigg County’s team total of 340 was 33 shots behind the winner, Muhlenberg County. Trigg was playing without its top golfer Hunter Reynolds, who was playing in the Kentucky Golf Coaches All-State Tournament in Lexington.
