A tough night Tuesday for the Hopkinsville Lady Tigers volleyball team as they made the journey to Henderson County. The defending 2nd Region champion Lady Colonels took control of the match early and rolled to a straight set win on their home court.
Hopkinsville pushed the Lady Colonels in the opening set. Henderson was able to take the 25-19 win to go up 1-0 in the match.
The Lady Colonels put a little more distance between themselves and the Lady Tigers in the second set. Henderson County took the set 25-16 to go up two to nothing in the match.
Henderson County then made their move to close out the match in the 3rd set. The Lady Colonels closed out the match by winning the set by a score of 25-13.
Haylee Wolfe and Kaylee Stott had big nights for Henderson County. Wolfe finished with 8 kills, while Stott added seven more.
With the loss, Hopkinsville falls to 2-6 on the season. The Lady Tigers return home to take on Todd County Central Thursday evening.
