Lady Lyons Beat Crittenden County 6-1, Again

For the second time in three days, Lyon County handed Crittenden County a 6-1 girls’ soccer district loss in Marion.

Rose Smith and Leah Schroeder each scored a pair of goals for the Lady Lyons, who are averaging nearly five goals a game after scoring three in their first three.

Samantha Hooper and Crista Cummins added goals for the Lady Lyons with Smith and Mary Davis adding assists.

Maddie Russell saved 13 of the 14 shots she faced in the game.

Lyon County wrapped up the top seed in the district tournament and an automatic berth in the region tournament with a 6-1 win over Crittenden Tuesday in Eddyville.

The Lady Lyons have won four straight games after an 0-3 start.  They will host Mayfield Monday.
