Lady Wildcats Run to Fourth Place at Marshall County

Trigg County’s girls finished in fourth place Saturday at the 42^nd Annual Marshall County Cross Country Invitational in Draffenville.

Riley Brame led the Lady Wildcat runners with a 15^th place finish.  She covered the 1.5-mile course in a time of 11:15.  Calloway County’s Ainsley Smith won the race in 9:56.

The race was shortened from the normal 3.1-mile length due to COVID-19 recommendations from the KHSAA earlier this year that also saw the runners compete in waves throughout the morning to cut down on crowding the field.

Brame was one second faster than teammate Dede Barbee, who was 16^th.

Trinity Cavanaugh was 21^st in 12:07 followed by Alesha Nyakeraka in 45^th [13:30] and Camryn Boone in 46^th place [13:33].

Alexandra Smith was 50^th and Jessie Paulter was 69^th for Trigg County.
