Trigg County’s girls finished in fourth place Saturday at the 42nd Annual Marshall County Cross Country Invitational in Draffenville.

Riley Brame led the Lady Wildcat runners with a 15th place finish.  She covered the 1.5-mile course in a time of 11:15.  Calloway County’s Ainsley Smith won the race in 9:56.

The race was shortened from the normal 3.1-mile length due to COVID-19 recommendations from the KHSAA earlier this year that also saw the runners compete in waves throughout the morning to cut down on crowding the field.

Brame was one second faster than teammate Dede Barbee, who was 16th.

Trinity Cavanaugh was 21st in 12:07 followed by Alesha Nyakeraka in 45th [13:30] and Camryn Boone in 46th place [13:33].

Alexandra Smith was 50th and Jessie Paulter was 69th for Trigg County.
