Marshall County senior Jay Nimmo won his third-straight regional golf championship with an even-par 72 Monday at Murray Country Club.
Nimmo, the defending Kentucky state champion who is headed for Mississippi State, said the goal in the regional tournament was just to get his team back to the KHSAA State Golf Championships in Bowling Green next week.
Marshall did that, winning the regional team title by 15 shots.
Your Sports Edge spoke with Nimmo after his two-shot victory in the 1st Region Golf Tournament.
