Playing for just the third time in 20 years, Todd County Central split a volleyball doubleheader with Henderson County Tuesday in Elkton.
Todd Central won the opening match with the defending Second Region champions in four sets 26-24, 25-20, 17-25, 25-22.
Henderson County won the second match in four sets. The Lady Colonels won the first two sets 25-19 and 27-25. The Lady Rebels won the third set 25-15, and Henderson took a close deciding set 25-23.
Todd County Central Coach Stephanie Conquest said the Lady Rebels mixture of hustle and communication led to the opening match win. Tuesday marked the first time Henderson County [6-6] played a volleyball match in Elkton.
The Lady Rebels [7-4], coming off an All-A Region runner-up finish over the weekend, will play in the Quad State Tournament at McCracken County this weekend.
