Caldwell County’s Claire Knoth finished in a tie for 15th place at the girls’ 1st Region Golf Tournament Tuesday at Calvert City Country Club.
Knoth shot a 14-over-par 86.
She missed qualifying for next week’s state golf tournament in Bowling Green by four shots.
Knoth got off to a slow start Tuesday morning, shooting an 8-over 44 on the front nine.
She fared better on the back, but finished the round with four consecutive bogeys on Nos. 15-18.
Knoth shot a 6-over 42 on the back nine.
