Wildcats counting on BBN to “show out” on Saturday

While he didn’t think the crowd noise was “too bad” last week at Auburn, Kentucky receiver Josh Ali said even with limited attendance he could still hear the fans.

“They had quite a crowd and you could still hear the crowd from the field,” Ali said.

What is he hoping for Saturday when UK hosts Ole Miss in its first home game?

“I think BBN is going to show out. That will be big to us. Fans are everything to us. That’s what makes us go out and play how we play,” Ali said.

Kentucky coach Mark Stoops believes even limited fans can still create a home field advantage.

” It felt like a lot more than 20,000 (at Auburn). I don’t know what was in there, but it felt like a lot more,” Stoops said. “Hopefully, we will have whatever we are able to have in there and those folks will create some noise.”

Stoops is banking on more than just fan noise, too.

“I think you can supplement that noise with the speaker system and with crowd noise I know that was a factor (at Auburn) and I want to make sure our folks are doing that here as well,” he said.

“I forget what the heck they said, but you can put the decibel level up to a certain degree and leave that on throughout the game and I want to make sure we can have that as loud as we are allowed to have because we felt that in their stadium.”
