The Caldwell County Lady Tigers ran their win streak to seven on Thursday, getting 20 kills from Olivia Mitchell and 12 from Abby Griggs while beating Fort Campbell 25-10, 25-13, 25-14 in Princeton.
Kendyll Prowell had 36 set assists and three kills while Mary Tays had three kills and six aces.
Kyndra Winters and Adi Sullenger each had four aces.
For the Lady Falcons (2-4), Jasmin Jones had four kills, two blocks, seven digs and three aces while Faith Kaauamo had 10 assists and four digs.
Abby Roby had two kills, two assists and five digs. Haven Habhab had a kill, a block and five digs. Abi Graham had two digs .
Fort Campbell’s four seniors were recognized before the match – Jones, Habhab, Graham and Trinity Beaty. Because the Lady Falcons don’t have any home matches this season, Senior Night for the squad was held at Caldwell County.
Caldwell County, now 8-1, next visits Ballard Memorial in an All A Classic sectional matchup. That match is now set for 6:30 Friday night in LaCenter.
The Lady Tigers are 5-0 all-time against Ballard Memorial but last year’s meeting in Princeton went five sets.
The Lady Bombers are a perfect 13-0 this season.
The winner of the sectional match goes to the All A Classic state tournament in Richmond next Saturday, Oct. 10.
Caldwell then plays in the wRECk at the Plex on Saturday in Hopkinsville.
Fort Campbell will also play in the wRECk at the Plex, with one game Friday night and two Saturday morning.
