Not the trip to Marion that the Trigg County Lady Wildcats volleyball team was looking for Thursday night. The Crittenden County Lady Rockets handed the Lady Wildcats their 4th straight loss, winning in straight sets at Rocket Arena.
Crittenden County was rolling right out of the starting gate. The Lady Rockets zipped through the first set 25-8 to take the early one set to none lead in the match.
Trigg County battled back to make things more of a struggle for the Lady Rockets in the second set. Still, Crittenden County was able to get the 25-18 win to take the 2-0 lead in the match.
The Lady Rockets had to battle event more in the third set, as Trigg County put up a valiant effort to get back in the match. Crittenden County was able to hold on and close out the match with a 25-21 win in the set.
Trigg County drops to 1-8 on the season with the loss. The Lady Wildcats are scheduled to return to action Monday when they host Fort Campbell for the first of two matches next week.
Crittenden County improved to 6-6 with the win. The Lady Rockets will be playing this weekend in the wRECK @ The Plex in Hopkinsville.
