Heritage Christian Academy rolled to its 10th win of the season following a volleyball matinee victory over Cornerstone Academy Saturday at Warrior Gym. HCA won the match 25-8, 25-8 in a tidy 32 minutes.
HCA had 12 aces in the contest, led by Lexie Crisp’s four and three by Elle Heltsley. Sarah Sargeant and Mya Goodwin both had a pair of aces.
Crisp had nine kills, and Heltsley added three. Bailey Craft assisted on 10 points, with Goodwin adding eight helpers.
HCA entered Saturday’s match ranked fourth in this week’s KCAA Power Poll, while Cornerstone was ranked seventh. The Lady Warriors improved to 5-1 in league play.
Friday, Heritage went on the road to Pleasant View, Tenn. and came away with a 25-16, 25-12 win. Mya Goodwin had a big night with six kills, seven assists, and two aces. Lexie Crisp added eight aces and four kills, and Elle Heltsley had five kills.
Heritage Christian is 10-1 on the season heading into the school’s fall break. The Lady Warriors return to the court Oct. 12 at South Haven, Tenn.
