Coming off an incredibly tough loss in the All A Classic sectional round Friday night at Ballard Memorial, the Caldwell County Lady Tigers got back at it early Saturday as they traveled to Hopkinsville to take place in the annual wRECk @ The Plex. The Lady Tigers were paired up against solid programs out of the 1st Region, that being Marshall County, and out of the 4th Region, that being Bowling Green.
The Lady Tigers began the day taking on the Lady Marshals. Caldwell County came out strong taking the first set 25-17. Marshall County came battling right back to take the second set 25-14. The Lady Tigers would have to battle in the 3rd and 4th sets, but took the wins in both to close out the match 3-1. Caldwell County won the 3rd set 25-20, and then closed it out 25-23.
Caldwell County finished its appearance in the event taking on the Lady Purples. Bowling Green came out quickly, taking the first two sets 25-16 and 25-10. Much like they did Friday night in the All A, the Lady Tigers fought their way back in the third set, winning by a score of 25-22. However, Bowling Green then finished strong, closing out the match with a 25-17 win in the 4th set to take the match three sets to one.
The Lady Tigers now stand at 9-3 for the season, and are scheduled to get back to action Tuesday evening when they host defending regional champion Henderson County.
