
Christian County split four matches Friday and Saturday at the wRECk @ The Plex in Hopkinsville.
One of those wins was a 3-2 victory over Fort Campbell in a match that also counted as an 8th District contest.
Paris Buckner had 10 kills and two blocks as the Lady Colonels outlasted the Lady Falcons 25-9, 24-26, 20-25, 25-15, 15-4.
Macy Baker added seven kills, two blocks and four aces while Chantelle Haby had 10 set assists.
That was Christian’s first match on Saturday.
The Lady Colonels finished the event with a 3-1 setback to Madisonville-North Hopkins, 19-25, 25-17, 25-16, 25-15.
Baker had 24 kills in that match while Haby recorded 19 set assists. Hailey Sparks had 11 set assists and one kill. Buckner had five kills and a block.
On Friday, the Lady Colonels defeated Crittenden County 3-2 (20-25, 25-19, 24-26, 25-17, 15-12) but fell in four sets to Christian Fellowship School (25-15, 25-20, 20-25, 25-20).
Baker had 18 kills, a block and four aces in the win over the Lady Rockets while Aniya McCarley totaled 17 kills and six blocks.
Sparks tallied 25 set assists and two kills while Haby had 16 set assists.
In the loss to CFS, the Lady Colonels got nine kills from Baker along with 10 set assists and three kills from Sparks.
Christian County is now 7-5 heading into a home district match against University Heights on Tuesday.
