Trigg County freshman Laina Hite followed a hat trick in Saturday’s win over Todd County Central with four more goals Monday night to help the Lady Wildcats dispatch visiting Mayfield 7-1.
Hite got off the mark just over ten minutes into the contest when she scored off an assist from Maddie Morrow. She doubled her total a couple of minutes later with a converted penalty kick, before finishing her hat trick with fifteen minutes left in the first half.
DeDe Barbee scored from close range to give the Lady Wildcats a 4-0 lead at the break, benefitting from another Morrow assist. Hite and Barbee each added another goal after halftime, with Briley Mitchell also scoring to round out the victory.
Trigg County hits the road on Tuesday for a matchup with Union County. The Lady Braves are 0-6, with their last victory coming on September 10 of last year when they topped Trigg 3-2.
