Lady Falcons Complete Season Sweep of Trigg County

The set scores were closer, but Fort Campbell beat Trigg County 3-0 for the second time this week to complete the season volleyball sweep of the Lady Wildcats. The final was 25-19, 25-20, 25-16.

After pulling away to win the first set, Fort Campbell controlled the second set jumping out to a 14-5 lead.  Trigg would battle back to within 16-12. Fort Campbell pulled away before a Hannah Fletcher ace got Trigg back to within 22-18. The Lady Falcons held on the for the five point set win.

The third set was another close one. Trigg built a 12-8 lead behind two kills from Iyanna Grubbs.  Fort Campbell then responded with a 17-4 run to win the set and match. The Lady Wildcats had trouble containing Jasmin Jones at the net in the set.  She finished the match with 10 kills and 12 digs.

Faith Kaauamo added six kills, six aces, and six digs. Abby Roby contributed six digs and six assists.

Olivia Cornelius had six kills for Trigg County, with Grubbs adding five. Fletcher had four blocks at the net.

Fort Campbell improved to 4-8 on the season.  They have played all 12 games on the road as part of DoDEA guidelines for COVID-19.

Trigg County [1-10] will host Russellville Monday.
