Up until the combination of COVID-19 and a knee injury wreaked havoc on her junior season, Madisonville-North Hopkins’ Camryn LaGrange was tracking to end her high school career as one of the state’s all-time leading scorers in girls’ high school soccer. While the 2020 season has not gone as planned, Sunday, LaGrange announced where she would continue her athletic and academic career.

In a social media post Sunday morning, LaGrange announced she would be attending Western Kentucky University and be a part of the Lady Topper soccer program. LaGrange has played in only two matches for the Lady Maroons in 2020. She had one goal and one assist before going down to the injury.

During her sophomore season in 2019, LaGrange was a “machine” on the soccer pitch. Last year, LaGrange scored 56 goals in 22 matches. She also had 16 assists for the Lady Maroons.

As a freshman in 2018, LaGrange scored 42 goals and had 17 assists in 17 matches.

LaGrange has also been a two year starter at point guard for the Lady Maroons’ basketball team.
