Hopkinsville eighth-grader Cate Blane shot an 85 on both days of the KHSAA State Golf Tournament that was good for 53rd place. She was the first Hoptown girls’ golfer in five years to play on the second day of the tourney.
Blane got off to a slow start both days but rebounded to keep her score from soaring too high at the Bowling Green Country Club. With her first state tourney appearance out of the way, Blane says she learned several things in the 2020 season that will help her in 2021.
