Prior to the beginning of this shortened soccer season, many wondered if we would actually reach this point. And, there were times over the course of the season, that the same questions arose. But, here we are, as the high school soccer season playoffs get underway Monday night.
Across the area, in boys’ soccer action, the 5th District will play its championship game Monday evening at 6pm at the Trigg County Recreation Complex, as Trigg County and Lyon County square off for the third time. The Lyons won the first meeting 1-0, while Trigg County rebounded to take the second match 2-0.
In the 7th District, the Caldwell County Tigers will take on the Hopkins Central Storm on the Storm’s home pitch at 6:00pm. The winner will get to take on top seeded Madisonville Wednesday night. The Tigers won the only matchup between the two schools this season, winning 2-1 back on September 15th.
YourSportsEdge.Com will be on hand at both matches to bring you full coverage of the action.
