The high school soccer postseason in this COVID shortened year of 2020 gets underway Monday evening across the Commonwealth. For girls’ teams in the area, the Monday schedule is a fairly light one.

In the 13th District, the Todd County Central Lady Rebels will be looking to clinch their first trip to the 4th Region tournament since 2017 as they take on Franklin Simpson in the 8pm semifinal in Elkton. The Lady Rebels dropped a tough 2-1 decision in the two teams’ only matchup earlier this season in Franklin.

The first match of the evening Monday in the 13th District will have crosstown rivals Logan County and Russellville squaring off. The Lady Cougars cruised to a 6-0 win back on September 29. That match is slated for a 5:30pm start in Elkton.

YourSportsEdge.Com will be on hand in Elkton for coverage of the semifinal round of action.
