After joining the team as a sophomore, Trigg County’s Kara Southwood had never raised a 5th-District trophy until Thursday night, when the Lady Wildcats knocked off top-seeded Lyon County 2-0.
Trigg County was shutout in two regular-season meetings with the Lady Lyons but got all the offense they would need in the first half on Thursday. Southwood talked about how they were able to jumpstart the offense when it mattered most.
