The UHA Lady Blazers got in some last minute volleyball action Saturday to close out the regular season portion of their 2020 schedule. The Lady Blazers traveled to Graves County for matches against the Lady Eagles and against Madisonville-North Hopkins Lady Maroons.
In the match against Graves County, the Lady Eagles came away with the sweep, winning 25-13, 25-15, and 25-12.
For the Lady Blazers, Evelyn Morales had 7 kills and 12 digs. Beth Peebles added 13 assists and 10 digs.
The match against the Lady Maroons was a battle going to five hard fought sets. Madisonville ultimately came out with the win 25-23, 25-18, 23-25, 22-25, and 17-15.
UHA was paced by Beth Peebles with 30 assists, 10 digs, and 5 kills. Evelyn Morales finished with 17 kills and 12 digs. Julia Thomas finished with 16 kills.
The Lady Blazers will now open 8th District play Tuesday evening when they take on Hopkinsville in Blazer Gym.
