Wood Paces Hoptown Runners at Meet of Champions

Allison Wood led Hopkinsville’s cross country runners Saturday at the KTCCA Meet of Champions in Paris.  The event was run at the new site of this year’s state cross country meet, the Bourbon County Park.

The Lady Tiger junior finished in 30^th place with a time of 21:39 over the 3.1-mile course.  Eva Blankenberger was 52^nd in 26:02, followed by Rebecca Wood in 55^th, Jessie Creamer in 56^th, Hailey Cordero in 57^th, and Emily Bridges in 59^th place.

Hopkinsville finished eighth as a team with 214 points. Sacred Heart Academy won the Class 3A race with 51 points.
