With the volleyball district championships in the 2nd Region wrapping up Thursday evening, the pairings are now set for next week’s 2nd Region tournament, which will open Monday night at four locations across the area. The first round matches will take place at the home courts of the four district champions. That is a change from previous seasons that has been put into place due to the ongoing pandemic.
Monday night’s action will have 5th District champion Crittenden County hosting 8th District runner-up Christian County. 7th District champion Caldwell County will host 6th District runner-up Henderson County.
In the lower half of the bracket, 8th District champion UHA will host 7th District runner-up Madisonville-North Hopkins. 6th District champion Webster County will host 5th District runner-up Livingston Central.
All first round matches will get underway at 6:00pm at their respective locations.
The semifinals are set for 5:30 and 8:00 Tuesday night at Christian County High School.
The 2nd Region championship match will be Wednesday evening at 6:00 at Christian County.
