Carson Kitchens’ third place finished paced the Livingston Central cross country team as they finished third at Saturday’s Class 1A Region I Meet at Calloway County High School.
Kitchens covered the 3.1-mile course in 18:12. He finished behind University Heights Academy brothers Tomas and Tobias Duncan.
Machi Davidson finished 11th for the Cardinals with a time of 19:32. Robert Schmitt followed with a 21st place finish, and Tyler Calender was 31st.
Sophomore Alex Parks, who had surgery to repair a collapsed lung a month ago and was cleared medically to run Saturday, finished 39th.
Talon Sanchez was 49th, and Alex Jackson came in 52nd to round out the Livingston Central effort on the course.
The Cardinals finished in fourth place with 98 points, one point ahead of fifth-place Hickman County, and eight points behind third-place Fort Campbell.
For the ladies, Kaylynn Jackson led the Livingston runners with a 20th place finish. Kaydence McCormick was right behind in 21st place followed by Olivia Ramage in 26th, Rylee Culver in 38th, and Sidney Hubbard in 40th place.
The Lady Cardinals finished in fifth place with 111 points.
