Madisonville-North Hopkins sophomore Joy Alexander is heading back to the state cross country meet after a sixth-place showing Saturday in the Class 3A Region 1 run at Muhlenberg County.
Alexander thinks she has a chance to do even better at state, shooting for a top five finish next weekend at Bourbon County.
